{Fresno Area} Holiday Events

holiday happenings

Have you been wondering what’s going on around town this holiday season? Me too! I’m sharing what I’ve found below.

Holiday Fun in the Tower District

Tis the season for Holiday Fun in the Tower District! Visit the Tower District the first three weekends in December and enjoy some holiday cheer – Tower Style. The incredible carolers from Sunnyside High School and Roosevelt School of the Arts will be serenading diners at Tower restaurants on both Friday and Saturday nights, December 5, 6, 12, 13, 19 & 20. On Saturday, December 6, 13 & 20, Santa will be greeting Tower patrons in front of the Tower Theatre and Pedicab Jeff will be giving free Tower District tours from 6 to 8 p.m. Come to the Tower District for dinner and drinks, enjoy some holiday music, support local businesses by shopping at the many unique Tower retailers, visit with Santa, and sit back and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Tower from the comfort of a pedicab. It’s all part of the spirit of the holidays in the Tower District.

An Irish Christmas at Tower Theater

Thursday, December 11th at 8pm ($27 and up) Celebrating Christmas in Ireland with glorious music, traditional dance, storytelling, laughter and plenty of Irish soul. This wildly popular show with Kevin Horton of Riverdance leading the dance, brings just about everything to the table this year- joy, hope, laughter, friendship, celebration, of life through storytelling, music, song, and dance in a night that sparkles with life and a bit of magic! Dancing through the generations over brooms, on half doors, around butter churns, into the world of mythology and out again; singing that spins itself out of the mists and into the familiar Silent Night, Little Drummer Boy and Carol of the Bells, and superb music of the pipes, flutes, fiddles, button accordion and bodhran are just the beginning of this great Irish night!

Classic Film Series at Warnors Theater- Miracle on 34th Street

Thursday, December 18th at 7pm – ($5/ticket)
Tis the season to believe! For our December film, a department store Santa claims to be the real thing in this holiday film that takes place between Thanksgiving and Christmas in NY city. Is he telling the truth? You decide! The doors to the theatre will open at 6:00pm with a pipe organ concert from Dick Cencibaugh, and concessions will be available at a much more affordable price than modern Cineplex’s… So you can afford to get each person their own popcorn! We will have a very special, very jolly guest in the lobby before the film greeting guests young and old… Be sure to have your photo taken with Mr. Kringle and tell him what you’re wishing for this year! Tickets are $5 for individuals, or $10 for a family ticket. There is a limit of 10 for a family ticket. Dress in your Christmas best and bring the family out to make a memory!
